Engaged by the audit committee of a JSE-listed mining group to investigate suspected collusion between procurement officials and preferred contractors. Big data analytics identified statistical anomalies. Lifestyle audits were conducted on four officials.

Outcome: Three employees dismissed. Two criminal cases were opened. Procurement controls redesigned.
